DC Rojc Open Air 2025

Messa, Mother’s Cake, Nemeček Among the Acts at DC Rojc Open Air 2025 Festival

On July 11 and 12, the Pula-based Rojc Center will transform into a stage for a music and arts festival under the stars! Organized by local independent label and booking agency No Profit Recordings, the two-day event will be packed with domestic and international music, transcending genre boundaries, all unified by one simple denominator – rock’n’roll.

Performing artists include Mother’s Cake, Messa, Nemeček, She Loves Pablo, Them Moose Rush, My Pitbull Lucifer, Kadeadkas, and Sheik Anorak.

From Austrian Psychedelia to Italian “Scarlet Doom”

Mother’s Cake is an energetic Austrian trio whose vibrant blend of progressive rock, funk, and psychedelia has brought them international acclaim. Known for their explosive live shows, they’ve toured across Europe, Australia, and Asia and have shared stages with Deftones, Limp Bizkit, and Wolfmother. They’re coming to Istria to present their latest album Ultrabliss, with support from the Austrian Cultural Forum in Zagreb.

Messa, a renowned Italian doom metal band, will perform tracks from their newly released album The Spin. Their sound channels a variety of styles, from progressive and punk to dark jazz and even black metal.

Nemeček brings a unique Slavic rock essence that needs little introduction. Their shows are a cathartic experience steeped in Balkan melancholy and longing. Their heartfelt sentiment resonates across the region, as proven by their sold-out show at Zagreb’s Pauk in December 2024 and a widely acclaimed European tour. Fans eagerly await the final part of their Prokletije musical trilogy.

She Loves Pablo, pioneers of the Croatian groove rock scene, celebrate 20 years and five studio albums this year. They’ll bring their loud and powerful sound to Pula as part of the birthday celebration. Matching them in energy, Them Moose Rush – a progressive trio – will deliver their distinctive, uncompromising sound that blends classic rock, prog, math rock, and noise.

Festival Features Curated Cinema, Workshops, and More

Pula-based My Pitbull Lucifer consists of seasoned musicians from bands like Bolesno Grinje, Mighty Zazuum, Chronic Disease, SpellScroll, Super Booster, and HeadBanger. After their second European tour and the release of their first music video for “Gushing River,” they’ll present new material from the upcoming album Welcome to New Earth and revisit tracks from their split release with American doom metal band Ommnus.

German post-punk/psychedelic rock band Kadeadkas, active since 2016, will shake things up with a set centered around their album HalluciNation, evoking the spirit of the ’70s and ’80s. Swedish one-man band Sheik Anorak will contribute an eclectic mix of electro minimalism, hypnotic patterns, and infectious melodies.

In addition to the music lineup, DC Rojc Open Air 2025 will feature a side program including a curated cinema, workshops for young and aspiring musicians, and much more. Expect merchandise stalls, and don’t miss the DC Rojc Open Air 2025 Warmup Sessions on Thursday, July 10, to get into the festival spirit.
